In 1999 I wrote a piece about the value and relevance of intangible assets to business called 'The Intangible Revolution'. As a result I was invited to speak at various conferences around the world about brands and intangible assets. Looking back at it, it still has some relevance although what at the time were views that were not very widely held have now become commonplace, and I was pretty much wrong about Amazon.
